Lancaster Contra Dance

Hey Dancers! Ladies in the Parlor in their first Contra Dance appearance since the start of the pandemic - please come out to dance. Thanks to the enthusiastic support of dancers at the Lancaster, PA Contra Dance, we are going to be playing the dance on Saturday, December 17th. Dance starts at 7:00pm - but new dancers should show up at 6:15 for the lesson. If you can walk, you can contra dance - it's that easy!

Concert on May 1st in Dillsburg, PA

The Ladies in the Parlor are looking forward to singing and playing at the Historic Monaghan Presbyterian Church on May 1st. Seems we had just played contra dances at the Harrisburg Contra Dance and the Birdsboro Contra Dance when the Pandemic shut-down first took over everyone's lives. Musicians everywhere were suddenly confronted by cancelled concerts - dancers had no where to dance, and no one was getting out to any venues.

With Spring arriving (finally) and concert and dance venues opening again, we are excited to be able to bring our old-time Appalachian-based music to the stage of the Historic Church in Dillsburg, PA on May 1st. We'll be singing accompanied by our acoustic instruments: guitar, fiddles, banjo and upright bass, and playing plenty of fiddle tunes as well.

Admission is free - the concert is from 2-4pm.
